The European Systems & Control PhD Award is given annually in recognition of the best PhD thesis in Europe in the field of Control for Complex and Heterogeneous Systems. The aim is to encourage high-quality work amongst young researchers in their first research period.
The award will be announced at the Banquet Ceremony of the ECC19.
Nomination and Prize
To be eligible for the award, the thesis must have been written in English and must have been defended in Europe during the year prior the application deadline.
The prize consists of a certificate and a cash award of 1000€.
The Award Committee is composed by Alberto Bemporad, Antonio Bicchi, Maria Domenica Di Benedetto, Denis Efimov (co-chair), Luca Greco (co-chair), Francoise Lamnabhi-Lagarrigue, Christophe Prieur and Romeo Ortega.
